We have a very old, well loved *and well thumbed thru* edition of the Very Hungry Caterpillar book. Both of my Little Shire love the book and Little Mister would always light up at the end when the butterfly appears!
So I knew Little Mister would be interested in the Very Hungry Caterpillar 4-in-1 Puzzle Set from Paul Lamond Games.
The set of four jigsaws illustrate some of the most iconic images from the book and each with different number of pieces per puzzle. The smallest puzzle is The Very Hungry Caterpillar (12 pieces), then the lifecycle of the butterfly (16 pieces), The ‘fatter’ Hungry Caterpillar in the sun (20 pieces) and the Very Hungry Caterpillar with some of his favourite fruits (24 pieces).
The puzzle has been created to entertain and engage children from aged three years +, but this vibrant jigsaw also engaged my six year old, too. I haven’t done a jigsaw together for a little while but doing it was fun and got us working together. I know Mary at Over40AndAMumToOne is a big puzzler and I can see why!
My boy managed to do all of the puzzles, although I did still have to help him with the larger 20 & 24 piece ones, helping him identify the straight vs inside pieces. But then we was off and enjoying the challenge.
I really like this puzzle set and it’ll make a lovely gift. The packaging is colourful and iconic, and the jigsaw itself isn’t flimsy. I also love that each jigsaw comes in its own big bag, so putting it away and keeping the pieces separate is easy.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar 4-in-1 Puzzles are priced at £12 and are available here
I have a Very Hungry Caterpillar Set to giveaway to one lucky reader, thanks to Paul Lamond Games
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
