There are few TV shows which appeal to both my boy & girl – the Powerpuff Girls is one of them. Sister Blossom, Bubbles & Buttercup, each have super awesome superpowers, given to them by their creator, Professor Utonium.
It’s a fast moving TV series as these Superheroes fight giant monsters & evil villians whilst doing everyday things like going to school! What every child dreams about, really!
Both my Shires enjoyed playing with this set. It acted as a good backdrop to their imaginative play when they were making up stories based on the show or just the three Superheroes!
I’d say you do need a big imagination to get the best out of this toy!
It has a street base with a lamp post & a speedy flying ‘whoosher’ which you can attach any of the Powerpuff girl figures to. The second part of the storymaker system has a fashion shop front with the door, behind which is a super colourful monkey!
Everything can be moved, from the villain figure cards to the connecting street path. So you can set up Blossom ready to fight villains from the front or the back!
Adding the *kerpow!*
This is the bit my Shires liked most! You lift up the ‘whoosher’ with Blossom or other character on, until she stays in the air on top of the lamp post. You then press the button and the fun begins – Blossom whizzes down, knocks over the first villain, swings open the door and defeats villain #2…just add your own storyline!
It’s cleverly designed and easy to play with, across a range of ages I’d say. If your child is a fan of the big head, Emoji eyed Powerpuff girls then they’ll enjoy this!
Disclousure: we were gifted these toys in exchange for a review. All comments are my own, honest & true
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
