Love it! We saw Maypole dancing on May Day, but there is something rather wonderful getting up early to see something like this. #MySundayPhoto

You so rarely see Morris Dancing these days. It’s a shame really. #mysundayphoto

Lovely shot. I’ve never been to the May celebrations, even when I lived in Oxford!

6am?! I would never see this haha. Love the gorgeous architecture behind them too x
Brilliant shot. We had some Morris Dancers welcoming in the sunrise up the road, but it was at 5am and I just couldn’t bring myself to set the alarm for 4.30! I wish I had now! #sundayphoto
In my youth I Morris Danced and lots of eyebrows were raised that women should do so, good to see both Morris Dancing and lady dancers #MySundayPhoto

6am morris dancing?! That’s hardcore! I do love the general British bonkers-ness of morris dancing 🙂

Hi Tracey, it’s nice to see that morris dancing hasn’t died! Do they still have the pigs bladder on a stick? You have to admit that the English do have some odd traditions!

I love watching Morris dancing. I used to see it a lot when I was little but, sadly, it seems to be dying out a bit!

6am is far too early! As much as I love watching Morris dancers I also love my bed 😉
6am, that is keen! Looks like a lovely day for it and a very traditional way to welcome in May.

Was the outside the Bod? Morris dancing is such a funny old tradition, isn’t it? But it’s good to see that the tradition survives.
What a great capture, a lovely shot showing the movement – and perfectly summing up May too.

I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
