We’ve been lucky with shoes this year but school trousers really got it most months. We went through so many pairs!
The shoes just made it! Straight in the bin and now for lots of fun over the summer! Hope the kids have a great summer holiday. x
Great! all that activity, takes it’s toll
hehehe….That made me chuckle. We had similar in my house on Friday….
The girls shoes went straight in the bin.

Ha, that looks almost like a bullet-hole! Not a moment too soon – our kids’ shoes are in a similar state.
Ah the joys of school shoes at the end of term! Jessica managed to get through the year in the same pair of shoes which I was quite amazed by. I suspect we’ll have a growth spurt in the summer though. Love Fiona’s duct tape suggestion above – will have to remember that one! 🙂
Ah! So near too. Better the last week than the last month or two. Any shoes bought at that stage, are too small by September, I know from bitter experience. #MySundayPhoto

I bought my son exactly the same shoes….last September! And they are still holding out, but he wont be wearing them anymore. Similar story with the girls. We’ll be going out to buy new school shoes soon enough.
Similar to this house, all the uniform went into the bin as it was well worn
Thank you for linking up
Glad that it’s just not us! All the holely school socks are bound r the recycling now #MySundayPhoto

Ha ha, the school holidays really couldn’t come soon enough for those shoes! My younger son always did this with his shoes. Now he plays football at lunchtime in his socks – despite breaking his toe doing it a year ago!

Ah, now it’s a very similar story in our house. Not quite a hole in Helen’s shoe, but the awesome pair girl’s brogues I bought her a couple of months back from a well-known chain stretched out of shape and kept slipping off her feet. It got so bad I sent her in to school in trainers for the last week. Happy shoe shopping and whatever you do, don’t leave it until August (but you know that already!)
Hi Tracey, a photo many parents will smiling at. How many of us have eked out a little more usage out of past it school shoes? To be honest my Dad won’t go and buy new sandals unless he really has to and has been known to ‘sew’ the broken bit to get them to last the summer. You can hear him squeak as he walks!
Have a good summer.

This made me smile, mine have done this so often, in fact I’ve seen them use duct tape to hold shoes together before now!

Duck Tape! What a great idea, I wish I’d thought of that! I knew his shoes were wearing thin & I was hoping they would last the week, but they didn’t! They lasted until the penultimate day of term. If I’d used Duck Tape we couldn’t limped to the end of term!

I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
