This week’s photos see many based at home again as we were still under the weather, recovering from Chicken Pox.
However the second half of the week saw everyone fully fit & things starting to get back to normal. Despite Storm Doris hitting mid-week, it really does feel like Spring is round the corner.
It really has been a week of two halves!
Day 50 / Sunday, 19 Feb – Love
We ventured to Waterperry Gardens, taking Little Mister out for some fresh air. The first time he’d been properly out in over a week.
Although he doesn’t have many spots on his face he does on his neck. A few times we caught people starring which made his sister quite protective❤
Day 51 / Monday, 20 Feb – Monopoly
Whilst Mademoiselle went back to school me & Little Mister decided Junior Monopoly would cover off his reading & maths practice at home!
Day 52 / Tuesday, 21 Feb – All Clear & 500 Words
Today Little Mister was given the all clear to return to school. It was his last day at home so we had lunch at the cafe and went to the park – like old times!
It was also the day Mademoiselle completed her entry to Radio 2’s 500 word story competition. I’m so proud of her 💚
Day 53 / Wednesday, 22 Feb – Baked Cauliflower
To celebrate his first day back at school Little Mister got to choose what we had for dinner. He chose Cauliflower cheese, fish fingers and pasta! There’s no accounting for taste!!
Day 54 / Thursday, 23 Feb – Gymnastics
We had witnessed the Storm Doris of gymnastics a few weeks ago when Mademoiselle had a crisis of confidence about her competition in May. I think it was more nerves as it’s been almost 12 months since she last competed. We were back on track on Thursday as she passed her Bronze UKG and nailed her routine!
Day 55 / Friday, 24 Feb – Calm after the Storm
Mademoiselle took this photo whilst we were whizzing up the motorway, for a weekend away. I think it’s a real calm-after-the-storm photo. Who knew the M1 had such delights?!
Day 56 / Saturday, 26 Feb – Spring!
We were welcomed home to this wonderful bloom of daffodils. Spring is certainly just around the corner!
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
