Sure, I can do Project #365. It’s just a photo a day for the year. I’ve got this.
Last year many bloggers that I admire were doing Project #365, making the most of their day to day. You could say it’s the Hygee for photos – giving you a feeling or mood that comes from taking genuine pleasure in making ordinary, every day moments more meaningful, beautiful or special.
Taking a photo every day is harder than it sounds! But this Photo-Hygee vibe is making me think more about the day-to-day, as each day seems to speedy by, and the positives within it. Last week was very challenging at times but within each day there was always something to take genuine pleasure in.
So I’m persevering ‘cos I know when I get to week 52 I’ll be so glad that I did!
Here’s my week 04 & week 05.
Sun 22 – All about the kids
Was spent standing around in mud waiting for the children whilst one rode & the other played football
Mon 23 – Fish Pie
At home all day so managed to make a fish pie in plenty of time for dinner. I love fish pie but it takes so long to put together!
Tues 24 – Toy Fair
I don’t think I’ll ever get used to being handed a ‘Press’ badge. A great day at the Toy Fair 2017
Wed 25 – Miraculous, Mademoiselle
Extra brownie points for me with the kids as I managed to secure some goodies from the Ladybug Miraculoustoy stand.
Thurs 26 – Poorly Boy
Little Mister was finally floored by a nasty cold bug going around school. He rarely lies still on the sofa. Lots of quiet, snuggly time with my boy today.
Fri 27 – Day Plan
Better but still off school, so Little Mister made himself a day plan just like at school. It involved X-box time, literacy, reading and maths & he did the lot. Love that boy!
Sat 28 – Together
All four of us spent the afternoon at a Thai street food restaurant Thaikhun in Oxford. We had such a fun time, lots of giggles and funny photos – there’s something positive about the mood in that place!
Day 29 / Sun 29 – Walking
After such an indoorsy kinda day on Saturday, a walk in Waddesdon Manor blew out the cobwebs
Day 30 / Mon 30 – forgotten milk frother
Tidying out a draw I found this frother. This was a real Hygee moment – the children get such joy out of frothing their milk or hot chocolate. I wish I’d found it sooner! It’s the little things that count on grey winter’s afternoon!
Day 31 / Tues 31 – Kitchen capers
Pre-bedtime dancing. Little Mister loves music and when fuelled with a bit of food & supported by his sister being DJ- Deezer he can dance for ages! Always funny
Day 32 / Wed 1 Feb – Haircut
I want his hair long & curly, he wants his hair short and spiky. We compromised.
DY 33 / Thurs 2 – A good day at school
When he comes home from school looking like this I know he’s had a good day!
Day 34 / Fri 3 – Work meeting
I had a proper meeting today so dusted off these shoes. Not much call for them on the school run!
Day 35 / Sat 4 – Post Gym treat
Treats come in all shapes and sizes, this one’s in the form of a chocolate milkshake & toastie! Mademoiselle is always ravenous after her gym training so today we went to her favourite place for lunch,
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
