It’s funny how sometimes seven days seems to zoom by but this week it floated by slowly. I loved this week. It started sugar fuelled as Lent finished, and finished with some wonderful walks in the New Forest. This is my Project 365 – a photo a day, every day for week 16 of 2017
Day 106 | Sunday 16 April
Easter Sunday & for the children, who gave up sweets, Lent is certainly over!
Day 107 | Monday 17
The first day of our holiday to the New Forest. This was the wonderful sight that greeted us when we arrived at our AirBnB House. It was a real home from home & served us well for the week.
Don’t you just love AirBnB when it works?!
Day 108 | Tuesday 18
A day trip was planned to Hurst Castle, which involved taking a short boat trip from Milford-on-Sea. To be honest, the children found the Castle a little disappointing & I can understand why (it was quite two-dimensional & old fashioned) – both children got to experience being Skipper on the boat, which made up for it!
Day 109 | Wednesday 19
A day trip to Paulton’s Park, home of Peppa Pig World. My Mademoiselle was so good with her brother & took time out to enjoy some of the younger rides with him. I think she secretly enjoyed them, too, to be honest!
Day 110 | Thursday 20
We really do need to work on our selfies…but at least we got the wild pony into the photo! We spent the morning at Bolton’s Bench, New Forest, and we were surrounded by ponies and cattle all the way. It’s amazing just how gentle they are, and how well humans & animals can share the same space.
Day 111 | Friday 21
You know you’re home when… the washing basket is piled high! It was such a lovely week away I really can’tshouldn’t won’t complain!
Day 112 | Saturday 22 April
Like Peas in a Pod, these guys have been so tight with each other throughout the holidays. They slept in the same room whilst on holiday & wanted to do the same when they got home. So, with some shuffling of furniture we did it, and they’ve been together since.
They’re going to really miss each other next week when they’re back at school.
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
