Another week, another set of photos as part of my Project 365 – a photo a day, every day for a year. This week has involved a suitcase, April blossom and an Egg Ninja! So here’s my week 14, from 2 April
Day 92 | Sunday 2 April
My week of parenting solo began as Dadtired jetted off to the South of France for work *ahem!*
Day 93 | Mon 3 April
This term we were limping to the end. After seven weeks of school and an afternoon of swimming, their demeanour says everything. The Little Shires were tired and getting them to do any homework was hard. Very hard!
Day 94 | Tues 4 April
Where did all this blossom come from? Our garden seems to have just boomed with blossom over night. I always forget we have a cherry blossom tree because it’s tucked away at the bottom of the garden. I love this blossom – an ambition of mine is to see the blossom trees in Japan
Day 95 | Wed 5 April
I found this gem of a poem in the pile of paper that Little Mister emptied from his school drawer. It’s a poem for me and says “The car goes zooming around. The Bananas fall off the trees”
Not sure what it means, but it sounds deep!
Day 96 | Thursday 6 April
Getting these eggs into school for the ‘egg-ssembly’ wasn’t easy this morning! The Little Shires spent Wednesday evening painting and decorating their hard boiled eggs to enter them into the school competition. Mademoiselle created a delicate cactus whilst Little Mister tapped into his Lego consciousness and created Egg Ninja! It was my job to get them there, intact *gulp!*
Day 97 | Fri 7 April
End of term and everyone sighed a deep sigh of relief. We headed off to the local pizza restaurant, along with what felt like the rest of our school, and took some fun-styled selfies!
Day 98 | Sat 8 April
Me & mademoiselle had a wonderful girls-only day. After a morning of ice-skating Mademoiselle asked to eat at Yo! Sushi. Her choice. As you can see, we ate probably way to much but we were chatting and giggling and catching up on Mademoiselle’s friendship stories. Whenever we do this I always promise myself we shouldn’t leave it so long next time!
I really hope you’ve had a lovely week and if you’re just starting half term, like we are, enjoy the weather!
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
