So, this year I’m attempting Project 365 – a photo a day, every day for a year.
I won’t lie, it is a challenge but I’m enjoying & embracing it! When I remember I’m popping my photos on Instagram but you can catch the weekly round-up here.
So here’s my week 13, from March 27 – 1 April 2017
Day 85 | Sunday 26 – Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day was such a lovely day, spent just the four of us. The Little Shires made me some gorgeous, handmade gifts & they even adorned the wrapping paper with messages of love. Yes, I did cry!
Day 86 | Monday 27 – Away on Business
For the first time in years headed out on a business trip, up to Aberdeen. At the airport I was missing the children but secretly, I was also looking forward to breakfast the next day, without the stresses of the school run!
Day 87 | Tuesday 28 – Peterhead Port
Peterhead, 30 miles north of Aberdeen. A City I hadn’t visited before until this week. It has lots of natural charm including a working port. Unfortunately that day it also had an endless flow of Scottish drizzle & low cloud. Not great for photos!
Day 88 | Wednesday 29 – Home
Coming home I arrived to the smell of home-made, cinnamon rolls, made for me by the Little Shires for me. Yes, I cried again! These were all gone after dinner!
Day 89 | Thursday 30 – Hob Nail Boots
Another first for me as I had a meeting on a building site in South London. Whilst I wasn’t too keen on the colour of the Hi Viz, I was rather taken by the hob nail boots!
Day 90 | Friday 31 – Being Silly
We all got the giggles! Little Mister was the instigator of one of those infectious, giggle-sessions at the dinner table. Our little comedian turned interviewer, asking us silly questions which mainly involved farts, wees and poos – he is 5years old after all! So happy and the perfect antidote to a busy week!
Day 91 | Saturday 1st – Riding
Spending time with Mademoiselle doing what she likes best, which is riding. This lovely mare is a newcomer to the stables & looks almost zebra-like. We just couldn’t stop staring!
It’s been a very un-typical week that’s taken us into April. Seriously, how did March disappear so quickly?! Well, here’s to April and hopefully better weather and more sunny days!
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
