In fact, I’d go as far as saying it was quite liberating.
I know, for a blogger the above sentences seem wrong; strange that I’m not embracing one of the most powerful media platforms available of our age.
But, if I’m honest I’m a bit bored of Facebook.
*gasps of horror & the sound of sharp intakes of breath*
Yes, Facebook is faltering me and I don’t like the deal I’m being dealt.
Facebook’s faltering algorithms are working overtime to deliver me a news feed of pets doing bizarre things and colourful Memes telling me how to be more confident in life, regardless of whether I want this information or not!
I know there are some amazing pages on Facebook and it’s often the first place I look to for when in need of information, but for day-to-day browsing? Well, I think I could do better.
Twitter. It may not be the chatty platform it once was, but I still think there’s a strong element of chat there. And the limited 140 characters mean that the message is immediately engaging, if it’s for you, and often delivered with wit and humour!
Insta. Well, who doesn’t like a photo that tells a thousand words? I personally think there’s something more magical about Insta than other platforms. It’s simple and with the new functions it’s easier to chat.
Maybe it’s summer and I’m in need of a break, but for me, I’m falling out of love with Facebook, and fast.
Am I missing something? Am I giving Facebook a rough deal?
