I have missed a week. How did it become Friday already?
I’ve also had trouble with my PC this week, with gremlins getting into the back end *sounds like something out of a Carry On movie! but it wasn’t so much fun*
I won’t bore you with the details, mainly because I still don’t know them all myself, but it prevented me from blogging this week. I know; I was blog-less for five days!
It meant I got to bed earl(ier) than normal, but there was something missing, which was the therapeutic nature of blogging.
I hadn’t thought about it before, but blogging is like sharing thoughts within a big, complex diary, Only it’s not secret. Through my blog I’ve found friends from all walks of life; parents who can empathise with me, parents who are a few years ahead of me who I look to for insight; and other readers who have just become friends. I did miss it.
Don’t worry, I’ll be back next week! 🙂
This glitch in the PC also made me think about all the photos I have backed up on my hard-drive and now my cloud. Yup, I back-up kids. Always!
We were missing family photo albums. I have a few, but the majority of our family photos are now viewed on a piece of technology. So last night I used Mixbook and its App to create physical photo books.
I re-watched the children grow up through a series of photos. It’s so easy to miss things when you’re in the moment. My two 56-page photobook. * Yes, that’s right 56 pages with at least two photos on each. Too many?!* should arrive this week.
You know I’m going to blog about the service, right?!
Welcome back, Blog. I missed you!

I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
