*Disclaimer: This 30-second post is LOUD!
All you need to know is our school gave a violin to every 8-year-old in the class. Mademoiselle’s had just one lesson.
On the positive: she’s enthusiastic and so happy; she’s learning a new instrument which is a good disciple for learning….but it’s a VIOLIN!
I really must be more supportive *inserts ear plugs whilst reaching for the Gin. No tonic!* #AnythingButAViolin

I was in love with how she played …
I have to say she has got better since then. She’s determined, that’s for sure!
Wow – my school wasn’t posh enough to give all the kids a violin! Maybe a triangle each! 😀 I think violins are very impressive to play but, even played really well, I’m not keen on the sound of them, so not sure I’d love my kids to be let loose on one! Glad she’s enjoying it though!
Thanks so much for joining us on #FridayFrolics. Hope to see you next time.
Hahaha, brilliant! Oldest wanted to learn the violin. I convinced her to go down the piano route. We have an electric one which means we can make her put her headphones in if it gets too much! Thanks for linking up #FridayFrolics

Ouch! The only thing worse is a recorder! The concentration on her face though. Thanks for linking up to #FridayFrolics
Ha ha, I can see your point! *early days* with most instruments can be quite agonising! Cool school to encourage everyone 🙂 #friday frolics
I reckon she still plays better than me LOL #FridayFrolics
This made me lol as I learnt the violin. Along with my sister and my Mum? HATED IT! Thanks so much for linking up to Wicked Wednesdays and I can’t wait to see you next week! x

Brilliant! As a music teacher I often hear the rough end. It is tolerable though lol #wickedwednesday

Gosh, you must hear some shockers!
I’m sure over time we’ll get used to the sound, but initially it’s been a bit of a shock to the system!
Thanks for popping across
Noooooo not the violin!!!! Ah bless her at least she’s enjoying it, It reminds me of when I used to torture my family with my squeaky clarinet playing!! #WickedWednesday
Yes, she’s enjoying it and really trying hard. You’re right, I feel sorry for my parents who had to sit thru my high pitched flue and my sister’s clarinet too!
Oh. Dear. The recorder’s not far behind though, I can vouch for that!!

We haven’t had the recorder yet, I’m sure it’s on a par with the violin!
hahaha! This reminds me of school. Ooooh I bet you hope she kind of doesn’t enjoy it? Love it. Thanks for sharing with #bestandworst xx
HeeHee! Can you imagine a class of 24 little ones all learning the violin?! The joys of school
Hope you’re well
hahaha! I am laughing but my girl is getting to bring a trombone from school soon….I have a feeling I will be posting a video like this soon x

Heehee! Oh yes, the boot could soon be on the other food *giggles!!*
I look forward to seeing/listening to your post when you have a trombone in your home
Haha I dread the day mine bring home an instrument! Their voices are loud enough!! I played the violin, something my dad always blames for his tinnitus!!! #bestandworst
I know, you have to let your little ones have a choice of instruments but it’s not always easy to listen to!
Thanks for popping byxx
Oh no, I’m dreading the day Kayleigh or Ethan brings an instrument home!
Good for her for giving it a go though 😉
Yes, good for her for giving it a go!
I need to find somewhere in the house for her to practise; somewhere with closed doors! ;))x
Oh my poor ears but bless her for trying, it is so hard to learn an instrument X #wickedwednesdays
I know we all have to start somewhere, and the Violin is possibly one of the hardest instruments to learn. I can’t imagine the noise that must come out of the classroom lesson!
