Never has something so small been so enjoyed by Little Mister as the new Itty Bittys ‘Star Wars’ ‘The Force Awakes‘ toys produced by Hallmark (yes, the card people!)
These mini Star Wars soft toys are roughly the size of your hand, very squishy and super cuddly which make them perfect for popping into rucksack and handbags. They’ll be perfect for having in your bag for when you get to a restaurant and realise there are no table crayons!
They’re like a new generation of Beanie-Boos, of which my daughter has a big collection. Whereas the Beanie-boos are very cutesy – little dogs with big eyes, that sort of thing – and of little interest to a 4yr old boy, the Itty Bittys collection is models of characters. They’re part of a wider range of collectables, with everything from a miniature Superman to a tiny Charlie Brown from Snoopy.
My boy has fallen in love with them all, and you may have seen on Instagram that they’re now part of his bedtime routine, too. He’s often found in bed with Chewwey and Yoda, his two favourites!
We were lucky to review a big part of the collection – Rey, Yoda, Chewbacca, Stormtrouper, C3-PO and Keylo Ren – but you can also collect R2D2 and Darth Vader in the Star Wars ‘The Force Awakes’ range. We also received Batman and Superman which have gone down a storm!
With the six characters we had, there was enough for some great imaginary play. They’re small enough to be mobilised into all sorts of scenarios by little hands, and detailed enough for the characters to play a big part in their play!
The Itty Bittys got a massive thumbs up from both of the Little Shires (despite being so small) and I can imagine these won’t be the end of Little Mister’s collection!
The Itty Bittys Star Wars characters are priced at £7 each or 2 for £10, and are available from Hallmark stores or available to purchase online.
Disclosure: I was gifted eight Itty Bittys toys in exchange for an honest review. All comments are those of my own or my family’s.
