I’m a big advocate of spending in my local community and supporting independent businesses wherever possible. I’m discovering so many g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s eateries, shops & boutiques in & around Oxfordshire. Wherever you are you’re probably surrounded by independent businesses too, often offering something quite unique. Sometimes they just need seeking out, off the high street!
Which is why I’m starting Eat, Live, Love, Local (#ELLL).
Twice a month, on a Friday, I’ll be highlighting three things which I’ve found (and experienced) in and around Oxfordshire – somewhere or something to eat, something to do and something that I just L.O.V.E.
It’s my little corner of the internet where I can champion & share some of my favourite local, independent finds. In this age of clicking n’ shipping no doubt you could be enjoying some of these goodies, too!
It’s also helping to focus my mind as we have just 10 more weeks to go before Christmas. Yes. Count them. Ten! So it’s probably time to start thinking about Christmas shopping!
I admit I haven’t really started shopping yet, but I am booking the panto and looking around for local grottos. As for the social calendar, trying to find a night to get together with friends in December is already proving difficult!
So I’d better get on it!
If you’re an independent business in & around Oxfordshire I’d love to get to know you. Whether you’re a beautiful pub in the corner of the Cotswolds, a butcher selling hand-made sausages (I’ll take some of those, thank you) or have an event that’s worth shouting about do let meknow hereor drop me an email – firstname.lastname@example.org
See you for the firstEat, Live, Love Local on Friday 4 November 2016
I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
