Last week I didn’t write about my week – I was wrapped in questions & my search for answers.
I think I’ve found the answers & this week I’ve made some major decisions. Rightly or wrongly they’re now made and I don’t believe in looking back. There’s no point because you can only make changes to the future not the past, right?!
My big decision is to return to working out of the home.
To become an employee and not a freelancer contractor. To work in a team and not for myself.
Even just typing it out loud *if you know what I mean* makes me feel nervous.
For five years I’ve been based in the home, first as a SAHM as we relocated and my babies were just that – babies. Five years later with some freelancing and of course blogging thrown in, an opportunity has arisen to do something different. And I’ve taken the opportunity & am going for it.
The main reason for making this big decision is the location. Having a place of work 10 minutes walk from school and the same from my home is by far the main attraction. The work too, obviously!
It’s a massive decision and there are still so many other factors to sort out. Most importantly, the second biggest decision we have to make is about childcare.
It’s been dominating my every waking moment for weeks. I know I’ll have to relinquish the responsibility of my children’s after school care to a nanny or child carer. It’s only be for a couple of hours each day, but it’s going to be so hard. I won’t lie.
Still, the first big decision has been made. The second big decision will hopefully be made next week as we continue to search for our child carer.
I hope you’ve had a good week.
