What did we do without the Pop Up?
We had an amazing night with the Secret Pizza Society who popped up at Lasscos for one night only, and now there’s this – a free, Pop Up Cinema at Westfields shopping centre, Stratford (London) courtesy of Cornetto.
Cornetto Cinema has transformed a small corner of the shopping centre into a mini cinema, combining 3D sound with immersive theatre to tell what sounds like a beautiful take on teen love and all the other trials and tribulations of teen life.
If you haven’t done 3D sound before your ears haven’t lived! Through headphones the sound literally envelopes you, you hear things behind and in the foreground – it’s difficult to explain but it’s a.m.a.z.i.n.g on your ears!
Cornetto seem to have gone all out with it’s pop up cinema, the entrance looks all old school, with a traditional façade, but the cinema inside looks über modern. Once inside, the movie ‘Two Sides’ is described as “part of a series of short films where four international directors have sourced romantic inspiration from all over the world to ensure each film shares a beautiful and compelling love story.” But what’s clever is that you can choose whose narrative you listen to; so you can tune into the thoughts of the different actors. So very smart!
Entry to the cinema is a free & it comes with a free Cornetto, well, you wouldn’t expect anything else would you?!
Open for just one for one more week, until 7 August, at Westfield Shopping Centre, this really does look amazing.
Don’t you just love summer?!
Disclaimer I received a Movie Box of treats from Cornetto UK as in invitation to review its cinema experience. All views and opinions are my own, honest interpretation.
