I love Autumn, it’s my time of year to enjoy:
The resurrection of my slow cooker
The colour of pumpkins & squash in the larder
Drawing the curtains to keep out the chill
Sitting outside enjoying the autumn chill with a glass of something
Putting on a snuggly jumper
Sitting by the fire for the first time this year
Bonfire night with the unmistakable hang in the air of burnt out fireworks
The gunpowdery smell of Sparklers
Closely followed by Crumble & Custard, home made of course
The return of marshmallows in hot chocolate rather than a cold milkshake
Warm snuggles with the kids
Seeing your breath in the early morning air
Rosy cheeks from the nip of the chill against the children’s skin
Harvesting apples in our garden
The start of Strictly Come Dancing which brings late nights on the sofa with my girl as she stays up late
Russet; everything seems to be a shade of russet and it’s beautiful
Our first born – who arrived in Autumn, who changed our world.

These are all things I love about autumn too. It really is such a wonderful season, so much to enjoy 🙂 I love that all my scarves are out again, and my cosy boots! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely list with #ThePrompt x
Yes, there’s something special about Autumn – not yet too cold but chilly enough to get a bit snuggly without feeling too uncomfortable!
I love Autumn, also the harvesting and the foods that come this season; we really enjoy it!
Thnx for the prompt xx
I agree with everything! I love snuggling as well – usually with my cats – and the excuse to wear hats and scarves and gloves. Long live autumn!
Ah, thanks Jo!
I think Autumn is a good time to snuggle because you’re never too cold, like in Winter, and it’s the first snuggles of the year. Yes, long live a dry Autumn!
This IS autumn!
Everything about the season that I love. Wonderful! 🙂 X #ThePrompt

I'm Tracey, nice to meet you. Mummyshire was 'born' three years ago after we moved from London to the Oxford countryside. Here I chart our journey adjusting to our new lives, the challenges of being in the countryside & surviving parenthood.
